First Demonic Dragon C.587 The Death of Asgard : Part V

Play Speak

Abaddon continued to rain down a storm of torrential blows onto Odin's figure until the Norse god was practically unrecognizable.

His entire body was black and blue, and there were an odd number of dents, bruises, and lacerations across his physique.

Odin was trying to heal, but god healing is nothing like Nevi'im healing, and so it was a slow and unrewarding process.

But if he did not keep it up, the chances of him dying before any of the others could get here would shoot up dramatically.

On the bright side, he had finally reached the point in his beating where everything just kind of blended together.

He wasn't even in any pain anymore.

As his consciousness dipped in and out he would sometimes stare at Abaddon with a look of disinterest and non-understanding.

'Still going, huh...?'

'What a try-hard...'

'How long has this been going on now...?'

'Does he just not get tired...?'

'Unthinkable...'

As Odin lost consciousness once again, Abaddon continued to pummel him with no real end in sight.

He likely would have continued this savage game of his for a lot longer if he didn't hear a very familiar rumbling of thunder come from overhead.

Pausing, Abaddon turned around just as a glowing blue Thor flew in from out of nowhere.

"DIE!!"

While Thor meant to tackle Abaddon, the dragon proved to be adept at avoiding such a sloppy ambush.

Dropping his body's center of gravity and fortifying his position, Abaddon ducked underneath Thor's arms just as he dove for him.

As quick as a flash of lightning, Abaddon reached out to wrap his arms around Thor's large midsection.

Using the power in his legs, Abaddon completely overcame all of Thor's momentum and yanked him out of the air before flinging him in a completely different direction.

'Break his landing.' He asked.

The element of earth still heeded Abaddon's request even without his powers, and sprung into action quickly.

A rocky wall was erected out of nowhere, complete with six sharpened stalagmites that resembled hypodermic needles.

And Thor, tumbling thunder god that he was, was hurled right into them.

By some miracle, he had managed to avoid having his head or heart pieced, but ended up being pierced in the small of his back.

No longer willing to let Abaddon hear him cry out today, Thor gritted his teeth together with great willpower and held it in.

Taking both of his hands, he snapped off the piece of jagged rock that was protruding from his stomach and slowly un-impaled himself.

He saw Abaddon walking towards him as calm as could be, and seemingly not in any real rush to finish this battle.

"What a smug bastard you are..." Thor spat. "Don't you know what's coming!? Do you understand that everything that you do here will be meaningless! This is your death day, dragon!"

Thor lunged at Abaddon all over again, but this time he was purposefully moving much slower to avoid another mishap.

Moving awkwardly on his damaged leg, he raised his hammer high above his head before he slammed it into the ground with tremendous force.

Bright blue lightning fell from the sky like raindrops and left virtually no room to move about.

For the first time today, Abaddon cracked a small smile.

This attack was so eerily similar to the ones Seras used on him in their first weeks of his training; part of her attempt to boost his evasive capabilities while teaching him to conserve his energy.

It made him long for her, if only for a moment.

Instead of panicking or making any overtly flashy moves, Abaddon focused every nerve within his body and inhaled until he felt himself becoming as light as a feather.

He began walking towards Thor with odd, flickering movements- similar to a poltergeist.

He evaded the lightning strikes while using as little movement as possible; coming so close to them that he could actually feel the heat across his body.

It actually felt quite nice.

Thor couldn't say for sure exactly what happened next.

At one point, he was positive that Abaddon was at least 50 yards away from him.

But somehow, the thunder god blinked and he was doubled over- staring at the crystal white snow that'd been stained with his own blood.

A terrible pain filled his stomach and made him feel like he was about to cough out his innards.

Looking down, he found a large spiked kanabo pressed against his stomach.

The fact that it was currently hard to breathe was a gentle notification that Abaddon had no doubt stuck him with the weapon in the moment that he was blinded.

Thor collapsed to the ground with both knees in the dirt and heaved a mouthful of blood.

As he coughed in exhaustion, he reached for his dropped hammer once again- displaying a remarkable fighting spirit.

But unfortunately, much more than spirit was required to win wars.

Before Thor could grab his trusty hammer, Abaddon slammed his kanabo on top of the weapon and shattered it to pieces.

Quietly, he stared at his fallen adversary with a look that meant his victory was confirmed.

"...Ha.."Thor din't fly into a rage or even start slinging more insults.

He merely chuckled one single time before sitting on his knees with both hands outstretched.

"Well..? Go on, finish it."

"..." Abaddon said nothing and continued to stare at Thor with burning ringed eyes.

"I hope you are't waiting on me to beg, beast. I made my peace with dying to a cold blooded reptile long ago, so you'll be getting nothing from me... Get this over with."

"..." Still, Abaddon remained silent.

Thor was out of ideas.

He had no idea what this damned staring contest was all about.

As he pondered this, he saw a shard of his weapon out of the corner of his eye.

This shard was larger than all the rest, and it might even be able to be used as a weapon- he just needed a prime opportunity.

But alas, it didn't seem like he was going to get one.

Suddenly, Abaddon squatted down so that he was at eye-level with the thunder god and leaned his arm against his kanabo.

"You should know... I never touched Sif."

"What are you on about..?"

"She is an irreplaceable part of my family, but we do not share a bed. Our bond is not deep enough for that."

"You…lie...!" Thor spat angrily. "Family? Don't make me sick! As if you could understand something as complex as that! She is only my wife! The mother of MY child!"

Abaddon remained stone-faced, but his eyes betrayed the fact that he was only just a bit amused.

"…I must admit, seeing the lengths that you are willing to go to make some sort of claim to her, I wonder if there is something that I've been missing out on.

So I'll tell you this... When you are erased and gone, with not a single soul you once knew to remember you, I will take her to may bed and my Ayaana and I will have our fill of her body... I'm sure she will be exquisite."

Was Abaddon actually going to sleep with Sif? No.

Did Thor know that? Also no.

But Abaddon needed him to do that stupid thing that he could see him thinking about in order to make his death as satisfying as possible.

So he had to push a little bit.

"YOU BASTARD!!!" Red with rage, Thor lunged for the large shard of Mjolnir and brandished it like a knife.

Blood flew as Abaddon was stabbed directly in the jugular without even bothering to defend himself.

"Hm...It's slowing down in it's effectiveness again." he muttered quietly.

Confusion shone in Thor's eyes as Abaddon plucked out the weapon like it was no big deal while wearing a depressed look on her face.

"Well, thanks anyways I guess..."

"W-Wha- AAAHHHH!!"

In a flash, Abaddon grabbed Thor by the hair and hurled him up into the air.

As Thor's vision spun in and out of control, his vision flickered rapidly before all he saw was darkness, and he was somewhere very humid.

He wanted to investigate, but this proved to be too difficult of a task.

Because for some reason, he was getting sleepier and sleepier at every second.

His last conscious thought was a memory shared with himself and his daughter Thrudd- one where they celebrated the day that Odin decided she was to become a valkyrie.

'Fly high, Thruddie. Father loves you dearly...'

In the lands of Asgard, a large creature could be seen towering above the icy mountains.

It was a large and horrific creature, with a body covered in a dark, glossy exoskeleton and large bladed forceps that looked imposing enough to sever a mountain.

Behind it's back swung eight tails; each of them with the head of a dragon and equally menacing in appearance.

For some reason, the creature seemed like it was a bit lacking in energy, as it was smaller than normal- coming to around 250 meters in height instead of it's usual 400 plus.

The creature made a revolting noise before it spit up something out of it's mouth and shook it's head like a dog.

That was without a doubt the worst thing that Abaddon had ever put in his mouth.

Out of all of the attacks he suffered through today, this was undoubtedly the most damaging.

Had that man never had a bath in his life!?

He was repulsive.

'I'm going to be sick…' 𝓯𝓇𝘦𝘦𝑤ℯ𝓫𝑛𝓸𝑣𝓮𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓶

As the creature roared to voice it's frustration, the sky to the east suddenly darkened and drew his attention.

There, a miraculous sight had covered up nearly every inch of sky for as far as the eye could see.

A few winged valkyries led an impossibly large number of warriors towards him with their weapons brandished menacingly.

The war cry of such a large number of warriors was equal to even his own, and showed an unnatural zeal for what promised to be the fight of their afterlives.

Zheng: 'My lord, let us help you in this-'

'No, Zheng. Your focus should be on ensuring that Camazotz is recovering without incident. You will leave all else to me.'

If the head of the wraith moons had complaints, he did not voice them.

Miraculously, Abaddon's body shone with a brilliant white light before it exploded into nothingness.

The army came to a dead halt in the air as they all searched for the large black creature that had been within their sights just a few short seconds ago.

And then, one soldier suddenly noticed movement from within the clouds above.

"Look!"

That single finger pointed upward made everyone stare in wonder at the scene unfolding above their heads.

Like the sun peaking through the clouds after a storm, eight eastern style dragons dropped down from the heavens and surrounded the army on all sides.

Though it would have normally been impossible to corral an army of this impossible size, the multiple dragons were somehow able to make do thanks to their 200 meter tall bodies.

When all of the dragons were in position, each of them opened their mouths and fired a beam of some kind of dark plasma into the army in front of them.

As soon as the first warriors were struck, utter panic ensued.

'Be gone.'
